I'm writing to you from a nearby PC Bang (PC room), which is filled with smoke and middle-aged dudes, smoking and playing computer games. There are also a bunch of kids in here; several are my students. I am also about to pass out because in my hurry to find internet, I came here without eating breakfast. Whoops. As a result, I'm going to keep this short. Gwen, Samson and I went to the nearby city of Gyeong Ju yesterday to check out the spring flowers and to attend the annual Rice Cake and Soju Festival. The flowers were awesome. It turned out that the festival is *next* weekend. We're planning to try again. Anyway, I took a bunch of really fabulous photos, which I have uploaded to flickr. I've only posted one below... Click here to see all of them!

Great Pictures. You and Gwen look fabulous. Gwen with her man, and you in your youthful sporty looking shirt and smart hair cut. Everyone looks incredibly happy. I came home to Florida for three days before I go back and take my comps on Wednesday. Yesterday, I was going by Avery's parent's house and saw her taking grocries in. She looks incredibly fabulous. Shes a radiologist in Gainesville and owns her own home. Her sister is living with her and working on her Master's Degree. Both look very beautiful. We talked for an incredibly long time. It was a good conversation. She told me to tell everyone hello and wishes that she could come visit you. Well that is all the news I have now. It is cold here. It snowed in Kentucky on Friday. My landlord took picks of the beautful spring flowers contrasted against the background of snow. It is very insanse. Allright, must get ready to hide some eggs for my nieces and nephews. Hope that everyone had a good Korean Easter. In China, they had these little juices in the shape of Vampire bunnies that I drank on Easter day as part of my party. It was pretty funny. Oh well, glad your computer is working.

Thanks! It was a really great day.
I would've liked to have seen Avery. Little Kari is getting her Masters degree already? Damn, I must be getting onld. Do you know what she's studying?
Good luck on your comps!
Hey, I'm just up the road in Angang. I will be there next weekend as well; it's only about a 20 minute bus ride from the village I am teaching in.
I'm kinda bummed though that the forecast for next Saturday is RAIN. Boo!
Great pictures. I agree with Chris that you all look so happy and alive. That is in stark contrast to what we see at grad school.

Only a few more months to go, and then you can take a break before writing your dissertation!
Wow, beautiful pictures. Looks like a great weekend. It looks kind of like pictures of Bullo-Dong Park which I really want to go to in the next few weeks. How was the soju =)
Also, I think next week we are going to bike up to the Biseulsan Azaela Festival.
Good luck with fixing your computer. Its hard to live without one even if there are 500 PC rooms with in a 5 minute walk ;)

Alas, the soju doesn't start flowing until the 14th. We got the date wrong. And by "we" I mean "Samson" :-)
I've been to the Bullo-Dong tombs - I went in May (pics here - scroll to the bottom) and the flowers were fantastic. It's not too far from where either of us live.
