Thursday morning I sent my mom an email saying that I was finally recovered from my rather long lasting cold. Thursday afternoon I was struck down by a swift moving and virulent Kyrgyz flu. I couldn't even teach on Friday, and spent all weekend in bed feeling like shit. At least today I feel human again. Not recovered, just human. Which is definitely an improvement.

Jeeez, Jane. Be careful over there. Actually, just take care of yourself once you get sick, since I'm not actually convinced you could really avoid it.
Maybe you can make batches of your favourite soup while you're well and then freeze them for the next time you're stricken?
I hope you feel better!
Feel better than human, Jane.
Poor Jane! I was in bed with the flu all weekend too, and am teaching despite a froggy throat and hacking cough, so I feel you.
:(
Norma would say that you "caught the back set." Glad to hear that you arae feeling a bit better. Take care of yourself and take it easy. How do sick days work at the school? I've managed to stay well this flu season which is a relief since there are few medicines that I can take. Of course, I also have not been exposed to the Kyrgyz Flu. :)
