Free Kittens, Waycross, GA

Apparently it's become common knowledge that my house in Waycross, GA is the place to leave your unwanted cats and kittens. Now, we all know that I love furry felines, but there are limits to the numbers that my mom and I can care for. So can you help us out? These three adorable little kittens (plus one more, unpictured) are in need of a home - want one? Or three? Or four?

Free to good home!

Life is very cruel at times. I lived about 2/3rds of my life on a farm, and at times we had over thirty cats running around with a few dogs thrown in for good measure. They all were the offspring of one cat--grandma. Damn, that cat loved sex. Not the best mother though as she would sometimes eat her young.

When I was in college I laughed at my sister b/c she had married a man who was deathly alergic to cats. But, he gets the last laugh. I few years ago, I developed a severe allergy in regards to cat dander/hair. I still have no problem with dogs, but cats now make me sicker than a dog.

It's also sad that in this day and age (with many shelters), that so many people toss their unwanted animals out in the countryside. As a child, I didn't understand why my uncle could kill so many of these animals until it was my turn. Most of these animals are thrown from speeding vehicles and suffer tremendous trauma from their ordeals. We saved a few with good homes and kept some ourselves--they make the best pets as they are so very grateful to have caring owners.

On a different tangent, here is a link that you might find quite useful for your blog: http://www.usatoday.com/tech/columnist/edwardbaig/2007-06-20-realplayer-11_N.htm

Sounds to me like Grandma needed to be spayed! (Now there's a sentence I never thought I'd write!)

My neighborhood in Waycross might vry well be the poorest neighborhood in the county. People who have pets simply cannot afford to get them fixed. Several of the cats that live in my house came from Oreo. Oreo belongs to a woman at the end of my block. My mom actually paid to have Oreo spayed, simply so that we wouldn't end up taking care of more of her offspring!

SPAY AND NEUTER!!!!!!!

My cat Xerxes was rescued by the shelter from the side of the road after he was thrown out of a speeding car in a box. Needless to say, he gets petrified if I take him in the car now, and just goes limp and whimpers.
