We had some pet snails at ECC kindergarten. But we took care of them. Again, I'm not even sure if a snail can feel pain or be abused. Those little guys weren't looking so great yesterday!
Especially the, er.... squashed, dead ones in the plastic bag. I hope Andrew heeded my advice about keeping them out of the plastic bag and being careful with them, but I'm not really holding out much hope.
Well, I did take the ones that were still alive out of the plastic bag and repackage them in a new cup. I asked the kid yesterday where they were (at home) and if they were okay (yes) and if he was feeding them (incomprehension). Sigh.

Sounds as if a rescue mission was called for.
