This is the cat that showed up on my doorstep on Sunday. Her paw was swollen and she couldn't put any weight on it, so I began calling her Limpy. I took her to the vet Monday. Her paw had an abcess which had to be drained, and now she's doing much better... and I can't keep calling her Limpy! Any suggestions? Also, know anyone who might be interested in a seven or eight month old frisky little kitty?

You're nicer than me. I would have been calling her Gimpy or Hopalong. I can't think of any less offensive names.

(Gwen - I've been calling her Limpy, Gimpy and Hopalong, alternately, since I found her. It's just that now she's walking normally.)
We've decided to name her Livia (or Livie - which sounds similar to Limpy, since she seems to have grown accustomed to that name). Also, her personality fits Livia, the Bitch of Rome, Xena's daughter in her evil incarnation. This is one feisty kitten!
It is really funnt that you mentioned Xena as I was going to get online this morning and suggest that as a name though I like Livie as well. Battle on Live Battle on.
